The Houston Texans got some bad news when everyone reported they are now out of the Nnamdi Asomugha running. Fortunately the reason behind it was they signed Johnathan Joseph to a five year contract.
Asomugha has been taking longer than expected to make his decision, and still hasn’t as of Thursday night, so Joseph jumped on the opportunity to sign with someone.
The money in the contract is not yet known. Stay tuned for updates.
****UPDATE****
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Joseph’s deal is five years, $48.75 million with $23.5 million guaranteed and a $12.5 million signing bonus.
